Highlights From the San Francisco Decorator Showcase
It was misting in San Francisco yesterday when the doors opened at Villa de Martini, the ultra-swanky Telegraph Hill estate hosting the 38th annual Decorator Showcase. The grey skies and bit of drizzle left the grounds glistening, while the whole home—both inside and out—offered a vibrant vision of Bay Area creativity in every niche. This year, over 25 designers, firms, studios, and more each took over parts of the Mediterranean 6,100-square-foot concrete construction, transforming walls, floors, fixtures, and furnishings with a range of styles that reflected an impressive breadth of talent in the city (and beyond).
It takes a lot to distract the eye from the epic views offered from on high--sweeping from Pac Heights to the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz to Richmond and Berkeley across the water--but there is just so, so much great stuff to see on-site. Proceeds from the monthlong event--running from April 30th through May 30th, 2016--proceed San Francisco University High School's financial aid program; purchase tickets here, and in the meantime, enjoy some of our fave moments from the press preview.
