Husband and wife duo Mimi Jung and Brian Hurewitz made a name for themselves creating simple, beautiful spaces for clients like Everlane, Bassike, Google, and General Assembly. But while their reputation remains solid, their renowned name has officially changed. Formerly known as BROOK&LYN, the pair are now unveiling their new identity as Early Work, just in time for the launch of their new studio, complete with custom furniture and lighting pieces developed with Mimi in mind. An accomplished artist in her own right, Mimi has shown work at Gallery Diet in Miami, Les Gens Hereux in Copenhagen, and Chamber in New York, exhibiting large scale works she weaves by hand, experimenting with a variety of materials. In addition to all their other news, the design duo are also ready to reveal their work for jewelry designer Grace Lee’s new showroom in downtown LA. Learn more about the pair in our Q&A below.
